Watch the videos at http://www.clickok.co.uk/index4.html - they're great for outlining a story as well as understanding hero's journey.

Thanks Smite. I can tell you some more things I've learned since writing this. The emotions we have are signals that mean its important. I've learned that to make people mad about this with me is a way of teaching that importance. But, that is only the beginning. There is information than can be googled like how to identify different types of abuses and organizations to support that fight it with the aid of law enforcement. We can all do our part, and there are parts to be done, but none of that can happen until people see that it's important that they do, i.e. get angry enough to do something.

The people were arguing with you in the thread because 1) they know anger leads to action. They could care less about that because it would be too much effort. What does their passions make them do? Apparently run their mouths in a forum about how much better they are getting. They want to be liked, respected, and not do anything for it except hone their debate skills :)

Or 2) They really don't care. Philosophy has a way altering how we think, yes - even to the point of over riding common sense.

I share wholeheartedy your sentiments with regards to the degrading of the innocent. In particular I enjoyed reading the reasoning behind your outspoken attitude for this subject.

Last December after reading about a particularly vile and brutal case of child rape and cruelty I posted my unedited opinion on child molesters at OoTs and was taken abake by how others challenged my outrage by basically accusing me of passively raging against the machine and that unless I actually went out and did something about it then my words and emotions were nothing more than wasteful passive verbage.

It had obviously touched a nerve but what got me was that I was unable to explain my reasoning other than pure hatred for such miscreants. I felt impotent in my rage and let down that society as a whole are only interested in the "story" but soon forget the poor child who lives with such horrific treatment.

So I would like to thank you for honestly posting your thoughts on this subject (and continuing to do so).

Beautiful Rune set although they are a little precise for my preferences. I especially like the Vulk-nut and Thor's hammer additions.

I know where your coming from on that one David, I don't have kids but I've seen such manipulations being applied to young people since I was a young person. For what it's worth as a child I refused to participate in such activities for the most part because I realized I was being gimmick-ed by a salesman. We did yard sales semi-frequently at my house so I knew the fine art of gimmick long before being an adult though.

I have since learned that they do make graphite paper for this. It's much like carbon paper, but doesn't make nasty black smudges so bad.
